Underlying Principles

All our products are 100% certified organic (more on the benefits of organic food). Wherever at all possible, the products will also be Australian grown and certified/known to be fair trade. Sometimes a combination of all three will simply not be possible for us to find, and in this case, we will prioritise organic certification as long as the product is in keeping with our underlying principles. We understand that food miles are an important consideration for many of us, and we'll always do our best to source local foods. If you have questions about the origins of any products on offer, please don't hesitate to ask.

We are socially and environmentally minded and will not at any time knowingly take action that conflicts with our personal philosophies.

We will not knowingly offer products that are likely to have been processed by workers in unfair conditions, and we will not offer imported products if we think the food growing and handling practices aren't up to standard. We won't offer genetically modified foods, or foods from crops which we suspect may have GM contamination (more on GM foods), and we won't offer any food that we personally wouldn't be happy to eat or serve to the ones we love!
